Independence Day Celebrations dated: 12th August, 2023

The I-Day celebrations started with a prayer, followed by a short speech by Ms. Srishti of Class XII-A and Kavita Vachan by Ms. Akansha of Class XII-C. The National flag was thereafter hoisted by Principal Madam along with rendering of the National Anthem.

Patriotic songs by groups of students, including the DAV anthem and a song by a massive group of 80 students and yet another by Ms. Tabassum of Class XII-C and Ms. Barsha of Class XII-D were the highlights of the celebrations. A scintillating dance performance based on patriotic feelings by a group of about 50 students left the audience spell-bound. Prizes were distributed to selected teachers and students, who had achieved prestigious awards and distinction in various fields during the current academic year. The entire program was very methodically and deftly conducted by Ms. Ritu Madam and Dr. Virender Sir.

Our respected Principal Madam, Ms. Anupama Bindra addressed the gathering which impacted a feeling in all those present, including the teachers and the students, of deep patriotism and pride over our most profoundly loved and revered Nation. “Vande Mataram” composed by Bankim Chadra Chattopadhyay, sung by a team of students, who also exhibited their skills in instrumental music along with this song provided an apt culmination of this amazing and wonderful program
