Orientation on Child Protection for New Staff Members
DAV Centenary Public School, Narela, conducted an Orientation and Sensitization Session for newly recruited staff members on 4th July to strengthen awareness about child safety and protection.
The session familiarised participants with the POCSO Act, 2012, the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, and the roles and responsibilities of the Child Protection Committee (CPC). Staff members were sensitised to mandatory reporting, maintaining confidentiality, recognising signs of abuse, and ensuring a safe, respectful, and child-friendly school environment.
The programme concluded with the signing of an acknowledgement by all new staff members, reaffirming their commitment to upholding the school's Child Protection Policy and safeguarding the rights and well-being of every child.
ON VECTOR BORNE DISEASES
A special assembly on "Vector Borne Diseases" was held at DAV Centenary Public School, Narela on 17th july 2026 at 10:20 AM in the School Auditorium. The target audience was Class VIII. The assembly was conducted by Team Prayatn and Interact Club to spread awareness about disease prevention.The program began with a short speech on vector borne diseases like Dengue, Malaria and Chikungunya. It was followed by a Nukkad Natak that highlighted the importance of cleanliness and preventing mosquito breeding.
An interactive session with PowerPoint presentation was held on myths and facts related to vector borne diseases. Students cleared their doubts and participated actively. The session concluded with a quiz and a theme song sung by Team Prayatn and Interact Club members, spreading the message of _“Clean Surroundings, Healthy Life”.
